The no-nonsence edit
At Music in the Green we’re all about great records, not sneaky data stuff. Here’s the low-down on what we collect, why we collect it, and what we definitely don’t do with it.
What we collect
Just the basics:
Your name
Your email address
Your shipping and billing details (when you buy something)
Any information you pop into our contact or international shipping quote form
Very chill analytics (to see which pages people visit - nothing creepy)
Why we collect it
Only so we can:
Ship you records without them going on a world tour
Email you back if you’ve asked us something
Send important order updates
Make the website run smoothly
No hidden agendas. No secret mailing lists. No weird tracking.
What we don’t do
We never, ever, ever:
Sell your info (gross)
Swap your data with third parties (rude)
Spam you endlessly like a cursed promo list from 1998
Who can see your information
Just the tiny team here, plus trusted services needed to run the shop, such as Squarespace, payment processors and our fulfilment partners. They only get what’s necessary to make your order happen.
Cookies (the boring kind)
Our website uses standard cookies to enable the site to function properly and to ensure it remembers what’s in your cart. You can block them if you like - everything still works, but maybe slightly less magically.
How long do we keep your information?
We keep order details for tax and legal reasons. Everything else sticks around only as long as we need it to help you.
Your rights
At any time, you can always:
Ask what info we have on you
Ask us to delete it
Ask us to update it
Any questions?
Drop us a line at steve@musicinthegreen.com, and we’ll answer faster than you can flip a record.
